SwimWithAmy began in June 2006. She believed that students can learn safe and correct swim techniques at a faster pace with private or semi-private instruction compared to a group lesson.
Amy started her experience working with children in 2001 with the City of Westminster’s Recreation and Summer Aquatics Program where she eventually rose to the position of Aquatics Supervisor. Along with her engagement with the City of Westminster, she has extensive years of experience teaching private, semi-private and group lessons to all age levels from 6 months to Adults with skills ranging from Parent & Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics and American Red Cross Levels 1 through 6.
Amy's 2010 Certifications & Qualifications include:
- American Red Cross Authorized Provider with the Orange County Chapter
- Water Safety Instructor
- Lifeguard
- First Aid, A.E.D. and C.P.R. for the Professional Rescuer
- 7 Years Teaching Swim Lessons
- 3 Years Experience as an Aquatics Manager
- 9 Years + Working with Children and Young Adults in Schools, Sports and After-School Programs
- Current T.B. Test Clearance
- Current LiveScan/Fingerprint Clearance
